Looking for something fun to do in Kansas City this weekend?  Here are a few ideas.  Worlds of Fun is opening this weekend.  I have many memories of Worlds of Fun as a child, and now with my kids.  My advice would be to pack a lunch.  Food prices are a little expensive.  If you love movies like I do then the KC FilmFest might be a good idea.  Who doesn’t love Pixar movies?  Better yet who doesn’t like the music?  Well if you enjoy both then I have just the thing for you.  The Kauffman Center has Pixar in Concert.  Movies would not be as good without music.  It makes the moment in movies.  Feeling scared, happy, sad, joyful it’s the MUSIC!  Lastly, there is always sports.  Get some friends together and watch the Royals play the A’s.  Root for Sporting KC on Sunday as they take on Dallas FC.  Just make sure you enjoy your time with family.  All of these events posted are family friendly.

Please check out the other pages on my website for information on my office.  Share with friends and family.  I am currently accepting new patients.  I also love feedback.  Email us some ideas.  What would you like to see on my website or office.  Have a great weekend!  Dr. Bunton And Staff.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre

Have you visited the Visit KC website yet? It is a great guide to activities and general information about the Kansas City area. This theatre is just one of the gems you will find there.

Per the Kansas City Repertory Theatre website:

“Kansas City Repertory Theatre, the professional theatre in residence at UMKC, continues its five-decades long tradition of producing works which are compelling, passionate and imaginative.

The Rep was founded in 1964 by Dr. Patricia McIlrath, a tireless crusader for excellent theatre. Her vision was to establish a training program where theatre students could work side by side with professional actors, designers and directors. Within a few years of its founding, the Rep became affiliated with Actors’ Equity Association and formally took the name Missouri Repertory Theatre.

James Costin also played a vital role in the growth and success of the theatre and served as its longtime administrator from its founding until his retirement in 2000. George Keathley was appointed artistic director after Dr. McIlrath’s retirement in 1985 and served until 2000. That same year, Peter Altman joined the Rep as producing artistic director and he served for seven years. Eric Rosen was appointed artistic director in November 2007 and 2008-09 was his inaugural season.”

Per Kansas City.com….

The Missouri Mavericks Have a New Owner

“Lamar Hunt Jr. had not been to a Missouri Mavericks hockey game until this season. But it didn’t take long for him to get the hockey bug.

Hunt quickly became a Mavericks fan, and on Friday he will be introduced as the new owner of the Mavericks, a minor-league club in the East Coast Hockey League that plays its games at the Independence Events Center.

“There was a little bit of an element of love at first sight, because when you walk into the building, you see the brand and talk to the people, and see how well it’s run,” Hunt said Thursday night after the purchase of the club was completed.”
